How We Work
01
The Network

We have the relationships. We make the calls.

Over the years we have built a global network of brokers, suppliers, and partners. When you tell us what you need, we already know who to call. Supply identification moves fast because the relationships are already there.

02
The Verification

Finding supply is one thing. Confirming it is real is another.

When a source needs eyes on it, our founders fly. We have been to the mines, the ports, and the warehouses. Personal confirmation is not a premium option. It is how we operate.

03
The Result

You get a trusted source for your product.

Ra Merchants handles all the verification and does whatever it takes to get you there. Documentation, field confirmation, follow-up. We are not done until you are confident to move forward.

The First Step

The first step is
a conversation.

No pitch. No pressure. A discovery call is 30 minutes with the founders. You tell us what you need. We tell you honestly whether we can find it and what that process looks like.

  • What you need sourced, the specs, and the volume
  • Your timeline and how urgent the requirement is
  • Any compliance or documentation requirements you are working with
  • What our verification process looks like for your specific situation
  • Whether Ra Merchants is the right fit for what you need

Materials

What we source, in detail.

Active coverage only. If it is listed here, we are currently in the market for it or have placed it for qualified buyers.

AntimonySb · 51
+

Why it matters

Antimony is essential to small-arms ammunition primers, lead-acid batteries, flame retardants, and semiconductor dopants. The Department of Defense lists it as a strategic material. There is no functional substitute in most defense applications, and Western smelting capacity is extremely limited.

What we source

  • Ore, 35 to 50 percent Sb
  • Concentrate, 55 to 65 percent Sb
  • Antimony trioxide Sb2O3, 99.5 percent min
  • Regulated metal grades on request

Where we source from

  • Bolivia, Peru, Tajikistan
  • Pakistan, Turkey, Australia
  • Oman, Chad

Buyer profile

Ammunition manufacturers, lead-acid battery producers, flame retardant compounders, defense subcontractors.

Typical lot sizes

20 to 200 MT per shipment. Trial lots accommodated for first-time qualification programs.

TungstenW · 74
+

Why it matters

Tungsten is the primary metal in cemented carbide tooling, armor-piercing penetrators, and high-temperature aerospace alloys. Western processors are under growing pressure to qualify alternative concentrate sources as supply tightens.

What we source

  • Wolframite and scheelite concentrate, WO3 65 percent min
  • Ammonium paratungstate (APT), Rotterdam basis
  • Ore leads on request

Where we source from

  • Kazakhstan, Vietnam (FEOC-qualifiable)
  • Pakistan
  • Australian leads under qualification

Buyer profile

Cemented carbide producers, defense primes, aerospace alloy houses, specialty tooling manufacturers.

Typical lot sizes

20 to 100 MT concentrate. APT in container quantities, priced to APT Rotterdam basis with negotiated differential.

GermaniumGe · 32
+

Why it matters

Germanium is essential to fiber optic cable, infrared optics for thermal imaging and missile seekers, and satellite solar cells. It is recovered almost entirely as a zinc smelting byproduct, making supply unusually concentrated. Defense optics buyers are under hard pressure to qualify allied supply.

What we source

  • Zinc-circuit feedstock for allied refining partners
  • Germanium dioxide and refined metal on request

Where we source from

  • DRC and Belgium (Umicore-adjacent)
  • Central Asian polymetallic operators

Buyer profile

IR system manufacturers, satellite component primes, fiber optic preform producers, semiconductor wafer manufacturers.

Typical lot sizes

Kilogram quantities to a few MT. Pricing referenced to LME and Argus benchmarks.

GalliumGa · 31
+

Why it matters

Gallium underpins gallium nitride and gallium arsenide semiconductors running 5G base stations, AESA radar in modern fighter aircraft, and power electronics in electric vehicles. Western primary capacity is effectively nonexistent. This is one of the most concentrated supply chains in the critical minerals stack.

What we source

  • Primary gallium metal
  • GaN and GaAs feedstock leads

Where we source from

  • Non-China bauxite refiners
  • Zinc-circuit operators with gallium recovery

Buyer profile

Compound semiconductor wafer manufacturers, defense electronics primes, RF component houses, power electronics manufacturers.

Typical lot sizes

Kilogram to small MT quantities. Pricing referenced to Argus and Asian Metal benchmarks.

BismuthBi · 83
+

Why it matters

Bismuth is the principal lead substitute in pharmaceutical preparations, low-melt fusible alloys, and a growing share of non-toxic ammunition. As lead smelting capacity contracts globally, bismuth buyers face real supply pressure with less public attention on the problem than minerals higher on the defense priority list.

What we source

  • Refined ingot, 99.99 percent Bi
  • Bismuth oxide
  • Concentrate and polymetallic byproduct streams

Where we source from

  • Bolivia, Peru
  • Polymetallic byproducts, Kazakhstan

Buyer profile

Solder manufacturers, pharmaceutical raw material suppliers, non-toxic ammunition producers, low-melt alloy specialists.

Typical lot sizes

5 to 50 MT typical. Pricing referenced to Asian Metal and LME benchmarks.

D6 Fuel Oil
+

About this product

D6 is a residual fuel oil used primarily for power generation, shipping, and large industrial applications. We work with qualified buyers who have the infrastructure and compliance framework to receive and process D6 supply.

EN590
+

About this product

EN590 is the European road diesel standard, 10 ppm sulfur max. We source EN590 for buyers operating in or supplying European markets, with pricing typically on a Rotterdam basis and SGS documentation standard.

Crude Oil
+

About this product

We work with qualified refiners and trading firms on crude sourcing engagements. Depending on the grade and origin, we can coordinate SGS inspection, loading verification, and documentation from origin to delivery. Contact us to discuss your specific crude requirement.

Jet Fuel
+

About this product

Jet A-1 and related aviation fuel grades for qualified buyers. We approach jet fuel the same way we approach all supply: source confirmed, inspection coordinated, documentation clean. If you are looking for verified supply for aviation operations, contact us.

Our Approach

How we actually do this.

A four-step process. None of it is optional. What we sell is not speed. It is what arrives at port with clean documentation attached.

Commodity sourcing fails for the same reasons every time. Unverified supply, sloppy documentation, the wrong payment instrument, no one watching the loading. The process below exists because we have seen what happens when any of those things go wrong, and we do not want to be the broker that lets it happen.

01
Discovery

You tell us what you need.

We listen carefully. Material, grade, volume, timeline, compliance constraints, payment terms, and end use. If the requirement is not coherent at this stage, we say so. We will not start running outreach against a brief that has not been properly scoped.

02
Network Activation

We call our global network.

We have spent years building relationships with brokers, suppliers, and partners across dozens of countries. When we receive your brief, we know who to call. Supply identification moves fast because the relationships are already there before the conversation starts.

03
Verification

We confirm the source is real.

Every candidate supplier undergoes document review. Mining or export license, ownership screening, sanctions checks, recent SGS reports, prior shipment history. When the deal warrants it, we go in person. We have been to the mines, the ports, and the warehouses. We have not yet hesitated to get on a plane.

04
Execution

We watch it move all the way home.

We monitor loading, inspection, vessel and truck movement, and documentation through to delivery. Our role does not end at contract signature. We are not done until you have what you need and you are confident to move forward.

Standards

What we will not do.

  • ×We will not work without an NCNDA in place.
  • ×We will not relay supply offers we cannot independently verify.
  • ×We will not facilitate transactions involving sanctioned counterparties or jurisdictions.
  • ×We will not work with intermediaries who cannot demonstrate a direct supplier mandate.
  • ×We will not chase a deal that requires us to lower our standards on any of the above.

Saying no early is part of the service. The buyer protected from a bad transaction is the buyer who calls us back.

About

Two operators. A passport each.

In Egyptian mythology, Ra crossed the sky each day, bringing light to every land beneath him. The name reflects how we see the work: connecting separated worlds, illuminating opaque markets, making sure what is supposed to flow actually flows.

The founding logic is simple.

We both spent two years abroad in our early twenties. One of us in Europe, one in South America. We learned to be useful quickly in places where we did not start with a network, speak the language, or know a single person. We knocked on a lot of unfamiliar doors. We got good at it.

That experience is the founding logic of this company. The supply our clients need is in countries most buyers have not visited and have no comfortable way to reach. Our job is to be the people who go. We are comfortable in those rooms. We always have been.

Think of Ra Merchants as an extension of your sourcing function. There is no committee between you and the founders. When you engage us, you engage the people who will be on the ground, on the call, and on the hook for the result. We are not analysts. We do not publish reports. We move material.
